‘No factor can damage friendly Azerbaijan-Iran relations’

The development of relations with Azerbaijan is one of the Islamic Republic of Iran's strategic policies,. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and former ambassador to Azerbaijan Alireza Bigdeli said at a conference held in Ardebil on Friday, the IRNA news agency reported.

Mr Bigdeli said that the development of relations with neighboring countries, especially Azerbaijan is the basis of the Iran Constitution. "Improving relations with neighboring countries ensures the interests of both of them. No factor can damage friendly relations between two countries," Mr Bigdeli said.

He noted that Azerbaijani and Iranian officials are interested in developing relations and the small events that occur outside can't affect the development of relationships of the two countries leadership.
