Youth and Sport Minister Azad Rahimov: Azerbaijan prepares three venues to host Eurovision-2012

“Construction is being continued in the Flag Square on the occasion of Eurovision song contest 2012 that will be hosted by Azerbaijan.

As an alternative the Republic Stadium named after Tofig Bahramov is also being overhauled. This stadium can host Eurovision song contest,” Youth and Sport Minister Azad Rahimov said. Minister said Sport Concert Complex named after Heydar Aliyev is also ready to host the contest.

“But work should be done so that this building conforms to the modern standards. We do not see any problems in hosting this contest. I believe that Azerbaijan will perfectly host the contest in May, 2012,” he said.
