Symphonic orchestra of the Azerbaijan Opera and Ballet Theater admires German audience

The symphonic orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater on August 5-9 took part in one of the most prestigious musical festivals of Europe – the Munich Opera Festival.

Concerts and performances in the frame of festival in which have taken part the stars of world opera art, conductors, directors and vocalists from 34 countries of Europe, Asia and Latin America, passed successfully and was widely covered in leading mass media of Europe.

Among the sponsors of festival there were 30 largest banks and companies of Germany. The main sponsor of festival is the world known automobile company "Volkswagen". The symphonic orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater performed on August 7 at the Grand Final concert.

Symphonic orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, conducted by the People Artist of Azerbaijan, Professor Javanshir Jafarov, performed the musical compositions of the Azerbaijani composers Gara Garayev, Fikret Amirov, Tofig Guliyev and Polad Bulbuloglu.

Spectators cheered performances of vocalists and symphonic orchestra. After the concert the art director and general conductor of the Munich Opera Festival Kornelia fon Kerssenbrok told: "Knowing about high professional level of the symphonic orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, we invite it for the fourth time to festival. I am admired with talent, selflessness, inspiration of the Azerbaijani musicians. I want to note especially discipline and high organization in the orchestra. Performance of the orchestra at Gala concert was fantastic. We have repeatedly been with the director of festival Ludwig Bauman in Azerbaijan. We love this country very much, its hospitable and benevolent people. We are proud of friendship with Azerbaijan".

We know that President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva attach great importance to development and propagation of the Azerbaijani culture. The symphonic orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater with high professionalism has performed most complicated works of world classics on the musical instruments made in the countries of Europe.

Perhaps, our cooperation will develop in the coming years, and we will promote rapprochement of our countries and peoples”.
