Azeri film to join international film festival in Tatarstan

Ovsunchu (Magician) by Azeri film director Ogtay Mirgasimov will take part in the 7th International Muslim Film Festival “Golden Minbar” in Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia in September. About 40 movies will be demonstrated in the festival.

Azeri film deals with the events happened when Soviet government was established in Azerbaijan. Bakhtiyar Khanizadeh, Fuad Poladov and Ayan Mirgasimova play the leading roles in the film.

Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema is an annual forum of cinematographers, a place of regular meetings, an exchange of experience and cooperation between filmmakers of Russia and Muslim countries and the entire world.
