2nd Baku Silk Way international music festival wraps up

The second Silk Way international music festival culminated with a mugham concert on Friday in the Azerbaijan`s Composers` Union.

The concert featured the performance of laureate of “People`s Star” Ilaha Ibadova accompanied by Ali Mammadov on tar and Elnur Mikayilov on kamancha.

Addressing the closing ceremony, chairwoman of Azerbaijan Composers` Union, People`s Artist Firangiz Alizade said that the four-day festival started with mugham opera “Asli and Karam” by Uzeir Hajibayli and ended with mugham.

Corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Yagub Mahmudov thanked the organizers, stressing the importance of the festival.
