Concert dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Baku Music Academy held

Yesterday marked the 90th anniversary of the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyov which has a significant role in the development of the Azerbaijani music culture.

A concert was held that day in the Azerbaijani State Philharmonic Hall named after Muslim Magomayev to mark the academy's anniversary.

The Azerbaijani State Philharmonic orchestra led by honored artist Elshad Bagirov performed at the stage. Soloist, people's artist Shukur Mammadov played the works of Mozart on the clarinet.

The audience listened overture from Rossini's opera "The Thieving Magpie" and the 5th Symphony by Shostakovich.
