American singer to sing Azerbaijani composer's song

Famous Azerbaijani composer and producer Isa Melikov composed a song for Sunčane Skale festival held in Montenegro. Isa Melikov said that Glenys Vargas and Kevin Ettiene will sing "Power:Positive" composed by him. Azerbaijani national elements have been used in the song.

"I have used saz, nagara and other national musical instruments in the song. This is a very rhythmic song and is full of elements of Azerbaijani music. I am glad that such a song will be performed by foreigners. It is good that Azerbaijan will be mentioned in the international festival," he said.

22 will compete in Sunčane Skale festival. Glenys Vargas is an American. She was the backing vocalist of Juliana Pasha, Albania’s representative in Eurovision-2010. Kevin Ettiene is from the UK. They are living in Rome. They will be accompanied by the dancers, who represented Macedonia this year – Jana Andrejevic, Martina Srbinoska, Dardan Selmani, Ljupcho Atanasov, Ivan Angelkovski and Marko Pesic. The final of the festival will be held on July 5.

Isa Melikov is the producer of Nigar Jamal, one of the winners of Azerbaijan in Eurovision-2011.
