Lithuanian movie to be shown in Baku

According to the Lithuanian Embassy in Baku, on 12 December the Lithuanian movie “Balcony” by Giedrė Beinoriūtė will be shown in Baku. The movie is telling an amazing story about the first love of eleven-year-old kids and their parents‘ divorce.

“It’s a lovely movie about pure love which is also reminding us the life in Soviet union. Therefore, it will bring the memories of the years of youth for the elder generation and show the life in 80-ies for our youngster” – shares his view Ambassador of Lithuania to Azerbaijan Mr. Kestutis Kudzmanas”.

In 2009 the Embassy of Lithuania in Azerbaijan has already shown few other Lithuanian movies for Azerbaijani society – “Forest of Gods” by A. Puipa and “Before Flying Back to Earth” by A. Matelis.

The movie is shown within the framework of European Movie Festival, organized by the European Union Delegation in Azerbaijan jointly with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as Embassies of the European Union member-states residing in Azerbaijan. The Festival will run from 10 to 16 December in Baku, all movies are for free. The Festival will take place in Rotunda Room, Landmark Business Centre, 90A Nizami Street.
