Mirza Fatali Akhundov's original poem found

The original of product of the founder of the Azerbaijan dramatic art Mirza Fatali Akhundov "East poem on the death of Pushkin", dedicated to the great Russian poet A.S.Pushkin's memory, has been found.

According to the director of the Azerbaijan state archive of the literature and art, Teymur Maarif, the poem has been found during the researches of the personal archieval fund of scientist Aziz Sharif.

"Sharif got this poem in 1935-1936 approximately, after long researches. Reportedly, he along with Ismayil Khaggi found it in a tomb, in Tbilisi. Documents stored in the fund, confirm this."
