Azerbaijani animation studio participated in International animation festival

The director of the "Azanfilm" studio, Elchin Akhundov participated in the 2nd International Animation festival, which took place in Chimkent city of Kazakhstan.

"I took 5 films to Kazakhstan, and overally the work of azerbaijani animators was appreciated", said Akhundov.

Animators from U.S., France, Belarus, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and other countries took part in the festivities. Akhundov also admitted, that he was pleasantly surprised with good development of animation in Kazakhstan. According to him, there are 5 animation film studios in Kazakhstan, who constantly compete with each other.

As for Azerbaijan, at the moment there is only one studio, "Azanfilm", but according to Akhundov, in about 5 years there will be more, as the level of animation in the coutry is growing rapidly.
