Pamela Anderson: 'I've had many failures'

01 February 2010 [15:35] - TODAY.AZ
Pamela Anderson has admitted that she has had many failures throughout her career.

The 42-year-old actress has revealed that despite having many television shows cancelled or ignored for pilots by network executives, she has insisted that taking charge of her career has been the most valuable lesson learned.

Speaking to Marie Claire, Anderson said: "I've had lots of things that didn't work out, like TV shows. You learn a lot through mistakes - I learned that you have to be the captain of your ship. Actually, I own my ship."

As for the best career advice she has ever received, Anderson added: "I'm known for my handwritten notes. Sometimes I get little letters from [Hugh] Hefner. He'll say, 'I'm so proud of you'. A note from Hef, it means a lot."
