Baku Int'l Architecture Award due in Gabala

The 3rd Baku International Architecture Award ceremony will be held in Gabala on October 5.

More than 150 artists from 27 countries will participate in the competition, Azertac reported.

The Chairman of the International Jury is ex-president of the International Union of Architects, Vasilis Zugutas. Other members include well-known architects Michel Barmaki, Heydar Ali, Patrick Colombia and Elbay Gasimzadeh.

The jury will select winners in 8 categories.

The event will bring together the Board of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan, famous architects from Italy, Georgia and other countries.

In 2015, Baku International Architecture Award enjoyed participation from 34 countries and the award winners came from 12 countries: Bangladesh, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Vietnam, Singapore, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
