Eurovision 2017: Azerbaijan among favorites

Azerbaijan’s representative at Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Dihaj will perform her entry song ‘Skeletons’ in the first semifinal of the contest on May 9.

The annual poll of oikotimes.com with annually predictions of 80% in the semi finals and obvious correct approach to the winners in Eurovision, has announced the results of voting.

Following the votes at oikotimes.com that involved more than 7,500 thousand voters, Azerbaijan is in the TOP 3 countries that will reach the final of the song contest, Trend Life reported.

According to wiwiblogs.com, Dihaj is in TOP 5 participants of the first semi-final.

The music lovers also highly appreciated the music video "Skeletons" by including it in the top five clips of the countries participating in the competition this year.  According to all bets, Azerbaijan will be in   in the top ten of the song contest.

Forty-three countries will participate in the Eurovision 2017 that will take place in the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev, Ukraine, following Ukraine's victory at the 2016 contest in Stockholm with the song "1944", performed by Jamala.

Azerbaijan will act in the first semi-final, which will also see performances of Montenegro, Finland, Georgia, Portugal, Belgium, Sweden, Albania and Australia.

Cyprus, Slovenia, Armenia, Moldova, Czech Republic, Latvia, Iceland, Greece, Poland will perform in the second semi-final.

The Big Five and the host country are directly qualified to the final. Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom will vote in Semi-Final 1. Germany, Ukraine and France will vote in Semi-Final 2.
