Nasiba Zeynalova's centenary marked in Baku [PHOTO]

Baku hosted an event to mark the centenary of Nasiba Zeynalova, one of the most beloved Azerbaijani actresses.

Many prominent cultural and art figures paid tribute to the memory of the brilliant actress at the event held at Azerbaijan’s State Musical Theatre.

Prior to the event, guests enjoyed the photo stands reflecting the life and creative activity of Nasiba Zeynalova.

Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Adalat Valiyev, addressing the event, spoke about her life and career stressing the actress's  great contribution to the development of national culture.

Azerpasha Nemat, the art director and director of the Azerbaijan Academic National Drama Theatre also spoke about the achievements of Nasiba Zeynalova and her contributions to the Azerbaijani theatre.

Later, the Union of Theatre Figures presented a book dedicated to the actress.

Then, a video of interview with famous actor and film director Yuli Gusman was presented. In his speech, Gusman named Nasiba Zeynalova a great actress, who brought a joy, and  smile to people.

Yuli Gusman shared his memories of working with the actress in the movie "Don't be afraid, I am with you" where Nasiba Zeynalova played a cameo role.

When she was just 21, Nasiba Zeynalova already toured around Azerbaijan as part of a traveling theater group.

The legendary actress starred in 40 films and performed in dozens of plays, creating unforgettable images.

On the theatre stage, actress played the part of Jahan khala in the operetta “Arsin mal alan”, Sanam in “O olmasin bu olsun”, Kalak khanim and Malak khanim in “Young at 50”, Sharaf in “Durna”, Nargila in “Gozun aydin”, Zuleykha in “Ulduz”, Sola khanim in “We know best”, Asmat in “Our home, our secret”, Jannat in “Mother-in-law”, and others.
