Turkish film premiered in Baku

Baku’s Nizami Cinema Center hosted a gala-night of the Turkish film "Instead of both of us", Azertac reported.

Cheered by movie lovers, the gala night was joined by actresses Serenay Sarikaya, who performed the leading part, and Zerrin Tekindor.

The appearance of the Turkish stars caused an unprecedented stir among Azerbaijani fans.

Replying to the reporters’ questions, Serenay Sarikaya said she was glad to visit Baku.

"It's my first visit to Baku but I have already fallen in love with the city, enchanted by its beauty. Unfortunately, I had not too much time for a long walk across the city. I enjoyed Azerbaijan's national dishes. They are very tasty and delicious," said the actress.

The film tells a story of  Cicek, a girl who grew up in a small village. She has so many questions about her own life with no answers. And then her life is changed by Dogan, her literature teacher, who survived a personal drama.

Dogan, who come from Istanbul, wasn't looking for love. But fate has other plans...

Directed by Umur Turagay, the film’s cast included Necat Ishler (leading part, together with Sereney Sarikaya), Zerrin Tekindor, Ishtar Gokseven, Merve Chagiran and others.
