Turkmenistan - one of Ukraine’s major trading partners

Turkmenistan is one of the most important trading partners of Ukraine in the Central Asian region, Valentin Shevalev, Ukrainian extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Ashgabat, said in an article, published in the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper on  August 25.

 According to the article, the Ukrainian construction companies build the large-scale infrastructural facilities in Turkmenistan.

 Among the facilities are a drainage and communication tunnel and sewage treatment facilities which are being constructed in Ashgabat by Ukrainian Interbudmontazh Construction Association, the article said.

 According to the article, the runway at the airport in the Turkmen city of Dashoguz, rail and road bridges across the Amu Darya river and several other bridges are being built by Altcom financial-industrial group.

 “Such companies as Eurasian Pipeline Consortium, Interpipe, Sumy Machine-Building Science and Production Association and a number of other companies proved themselves well in the oil, gas and other areas,” Shevalev added.
