Miss Union Baku-2016 wraps up in Baku

The final of the first-ever "Miss Union Baku-2016" international beauty contest was held in Baku on August 20, Trend Life reported.

The final of the grandiose event was attended by beauties from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The beauty contest had an extraordinary humanitarian mission, as the project targeted to raise funds for the fight against cancer.

The gala evening featured stunning catwalk in national costumes, dances, music and beautiful poetry of participating countries.

Also, contestants took part in the intellectual competition that continued with catwalk in the evening dresses from designer Fakhriya Khalafova and Azerbaijani national dresses from Gulnara Khalilova.

The beauty pageant ended with runway in the wedding dresses. 

Beauties were evaluated by the jury members, including doctor of philosophy on art criticism Gulnara Khalilova (chairman), honored art worker Gulnara Khalilova, founder of international festivals "Little Miss Universe" and "Little Miss Eurasia Maia Tavadze, Egyptian model Marian Makram, head of FMS Models Agency, Lyubov Gutorova-Poyraz, photographer and sponsor of the project Ruslan Mammadov and journalist Nariman Michailoglou.

The winner of the “Miss Union Baku – 2016” became Maia Amashukeli (Georgia).

The First Vice-Miss - Laman Ahmadova (Azerbaijan), the Second Vice-Miss - Emilia Dobreva (Russia), "Miss Kindness", "the Most Beautiful Face from Gulnara Khalilova`s  Fashion House"- Marina Okhrimenko (Moldova), "Miss Spectator Sympathies", "The Most Beautiful Face from Fakhriya Khalafova`s Fashion House- Veronica Krestinich (Belarus), "Miss Online" - Malika Karimova (Uzbekistan), "Miss Charm" - Gulnara Soyunova (Turkmenistan), "Miss Photogenic" - Anna Sologub (Ukraine), "Miss Charisma" - Karina Komil (Tajikistan), "Miss Ambition" - Ardana Kadenova (Kazakhstan).

The contestants were awarded  with gifts from the organizers and sponsors of the project.

The founders and organizers of the competition include: Gulnara Khalilova (Azerbaijan, official partner of the project, the head of the Center of National Costumes, doctor of philosophy in art history), Darya Mironova (Belarus, chief director),Maryam  Makram (UAE, media manager), Christina Zamir (Azerbaijan, project assistant, logistics manager), Farrukh Seyfullayev (Uzbekistan, manager of public relations), Anar Mammadov (Azerbaijan, the official representative of Badamdar Hotel Baku) and Narmina Mammadova (Azerbaijan , organizer assistant).

General sponsor and partner of the event is Badamdar Hotel Baku.
