Leyla Aliyeva attends opening of art exhibitions in Baku

Baku’s Heydar Aliyev Center has inaugurated two exhibitions with participation of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, on November 26.

The exhibition of talented children's handicrafts was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The exhibition displayed drawings and other works of the talented children from the Rehabilitation Center of Persons with Down Syndrome, the “Origami” Public Association, the Children’s Rehabilitation Center “Gaygi”, and also various orphanages and kindergartens of Baku and the country’s regions.

About 400 works were presented at the exhibition.

An auction has been arranged here. The means obtained at the auction will go to the charitable purposes for the orphan children and children needing special care.

The exhibition also featured demonstration of video dedicated to the children. The children also performed dances, which aroused keen interest among the participants.

The purpose of the event is to support creativity of the talented children, develop their abilities, and present the works created by them to the public.

Leyla Aliyeva also attended the exhibition of Latvian artists entitled "Different Seas. One World" opened at the Center.

The exhibition features the works of famous Latvian artists Alexey Naumov, Kristaps Zarins and Andris Vitolins. The exhibition will run until the end of February.
