Latvian designers present their masterpieces in Baku

Baku’s Grandezza shopping center opened its doors for the fashion show by Latvian designers on November 26.

Now Azerbaijani fashion-mongers have a chance to purchase best works of Latvian designers not leaving the country.

Attending the event Latvian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yuris Maklakovs, Latvian Minister of Economy Dana Reizniece-Ozola noted that the fashion industry like culture and economy brings the peoples closer.

The guests enjoyed the women clothing collection by three known Latvian designers such as Coo Culte, Narciss and AnnaLed. YAYOI accessories, an&angel dishes and hand made candles by MunioCandela also aroused the interest of the participants.

The collection of the designers was recently presented in the framework the Baku Fashion Week 2015.

Anna Led is one of the elite brands in the Latvian fashion industry, which is characterized by the excellent quality and fit, clean shapes and refined style. The new collection of the brand contains intrigue and unusual decoration.

Narciss brand also presented its new collection, which has been inspired by the fathomless depths of the Baltic Sea which is differing from its subtle femininity.

Collection of European Coo Culte brand include cocktail and evening dresses, which are created in the corporate style -- feminine, luxurious, with a barely noticeable share of expression.

Azerbaijan is hosting exciting Latvian Days under the slogan “Discover Latvia! Feel Latvia!” from November 23 to December 12.

The event featuring Latvian culture and its national cuisine well incorporated with economic, cultural and artistic elements targets strengthening cooperation between the two states.

In this framework, the Azerbaijani-Latvian business forum and a reception dedicated to the 97th anniversary of the proclamation of the Latvian Republic were held on November 25.

Moreover, Baku’s Heydar Aliyev Center is hosting an exhibition, featuring the works of famous Latvian artists Alexei Naumov, Kristaps Zarins and Andris V?toli?š entitled "Different Sea. One World," which will last until February 29.
