Azerbaijani films to compete in Tourfilm - Riga 2015

Azerbaijan will be presented at the 8th "Tourfilm - Riga 2015" International Tourism Film Festival, which will be held in the Latvian capital, Riga.

The festival will kick off on April 25 with a best film demonstration and an award ceremony.

“Lahic” film directed by Tofig Shahverdiyev will compete in the “Cultural tourism” and “Eco tourism” categories.

Another national film, “Volcano Breath” directed by Adil Azay will also compete in the “Eco tourism” category. The films were shot by Azerbaijani “Azanfilm” studio

The commercial “Rixos Quba” will feature in the “Promotional Films” nomination together with foreign commercials.

Some 200 films are included in the festival. All will compete in the five categories: including cultural tourism, eco-tourism, adventure tourism, commercial and Latvian tourism product.

Films will be judged by a professional jury together with international experts.

The best film will be awarded the Grand Prix of the Festival.

The festival is aimed to show and judge audio-visual products - tourism films and to promote Riga.
