The Heydar Aliyev Foundation spares no effort to promote Azerbaijani culture across the globe. To this end, the foundation will hold a Day of Azerbaijani Culture in Hannover, Germany, on October 28.

Germans will have a chance to visit a photo-exhibition called "German traces in Azerbaijan" and an exposition comprised of art works by the winners of the competition "Germany through the eyes of an artist."

They will also enjoy a concert by the State Symphonic Orchestra named after Uzeir Hajibeyli. The classic music of Azerbaijan will be performed during the concert conducted by Fuad Ibrahimov.

The visitors will also be presented with the book "German traces in Azerbaijan" - a new publication of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The book written by German professor, Doctor Eva Marias Auch, interprets Germans' inhabitation in Azerbaijan in historical term with scientific facts, maps and photos.

The same publication will also be presented at a cultural event to be organized by the foundation in Dusseldorf on November 4.

On the same day, a concert by a jazz group led by Elchin Shirinov will be held at Dusseldorf's Shauspiel Concert Hall. During the concert, the audience will have a chance to listen to Azerbaijani national music in oud and balaban, in addition to jazz improvisations.

On the eve of these events, the German press has written about the events to be arranged by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in this country, informing their audience about the days of Azerbaijani culture.

They also noted that the State Symphonic Orchestra will perform works by eminent Azerbaijani composers at the Hannover Congress Centre. This event will give a chance to get closely familiar with Azerbaijani art and artists.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has already implemented a number of projects to expand relations between countries and nations and to promote Azerbaijani culture in Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Greece and other countries.

Previous cultural events held by the foundation abroad include exhibitions on the 20th anniversary of restoration of national independence by Azerbaijan and marking the 870th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi in London, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Strasbourg, and Rome.
