Verdi`s “Aida” to take stage in Baku

The Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater will stage “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi on September 28 with participation of the opera stars of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine. The opera which is a treasure of world opera and is very popular among music fans and opera lovers will be devoted to the 200th anniversary of Giuseppe Verdi.

The play will be performed as a part of the 5th international Uzeyir Hajibeyli international music festival, supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan’s People’s Artist, Prof. Javanshir Jafarov will conduct the play.
