'Leyli and Majnun' staged in Lankaran as part of 3rd International Mugham Festival - PHOTOS

The Azerbaijani State Chamber Orchestra presented a concert performance of Leyli and Majnun opera by great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibayli at the Lankaran State Drama Theatre as part of the “World of Mugham” 3rd International Mugham Festival.

Addressing the event, chief conductor of the Azerbaijani State Opera and Ballet Theatre, Hafiz Guliyev said concerts, international mugham competitions, scientific symposiums and master classes would be held in Baku and regions of Azerbaijan as part of the festival involving local and foreign musicians.

Leyli and Majnun was performed by the State Chamber Orchestra conducted by Teymur Goychayev, and the Azerbaijani Chorus Chapel, as well as soloists, people's artists Mansum Ibrahimov and Aygun Bayramova, and honorary artists Elchin Hashimov and Elnur Ahmadov.
