Exhibition of Nizami's manuscripts opened

The Nizami Ganjavi International Center and the Azerbaijani National History Museum opened an exhibition of Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi's manuscripts and other works within the great poet's 870-anniversary. This is the first exhibition of manuscripts, collected in 40 world countries.

U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues Melanne Verveer, Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy Philip Verveer, U.S, Egyptian and Kyrgyz extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors to Azerbaijan, etc. attended the opening ceremony held last week.

According to a special decision of the board of trustees of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, Melanne Verveer was awarded with "Nizami Ganjavi " premium. She was awarded for the excellent work in women's issues around the world, attracting girls to education in poor countries.
