An international competition of young classic musicians of the countries of Islamic world kicked off at Azerbaijan’s capital Baku on April 27. A two-day competition was organized by the ISESCO under the patronage of the Azerbaijan’s ministry of youth and sports, Kainat Centre and Baku Music Academy.
The competition has brought together young participants from Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco and Kuwait. The international jury led by Professor Yegana Akhundova will judge some of the most talented young pianists in the Islamic world. A gala concert and winners' award ceremony will take place at Azerbaijan’s Philharmonic Hall on Saturday.
