Azerbaijan theatre to perform on Moscow stage

Azerbaijan State Russian Samed Vurgun Drama Theatre will leave for the Moscow tours on June 20. The theatre staff will perform on the stage of “Et Cetera” theatre under the leadership of member of the Public Chamber of Russia, People’s Artist of Russia, State Prizes winner Alexander Kalyagin.

The theatre staff will stage the spectacle based on the motives of the famous comedy of the founder of the Azerbaijani National Drama, well-known public figure and enlightener Mirza Fatali Akhundzade, entitled “Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Mesteli Shah.” The director of the spectacle is the People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, Alexander Sharovski, music designer is the Honoured art worker Vagif Garayzade, Azerbaijani People’s Artists Mabud Maharramov, Sefa Mirzehesenova, honoured artists Natalya Sharovskaya, Fuad Osmanov, Melek Abbaszade and other actors will star in the spectacle.

The tour is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
By the way TURKSOY hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to declare 2012 as a Year of Mirza Fatali Akhundzade.
