‘Tasty & starry’ British Cuisine Day in Baku

bmi, British Midland International and the Diamond Club restaurant held a “Day of British Cuisine with bmi” as part of the ‘Gourmania project’.

The event was held at the Diamond Club Restaurant, where popular TV presenters Husniya Magerramova and Tural Asadov competed for the title of Best British Cuisine Chef by cooking some of the most popular items from the bmi Business Class menu.

The two presenters cooked for a judging panel that included representatives from the Diamond Club and bmi. At the end of the evening Tural Asadov was announced as the winner. For winning the contest, Tural was rewarded with two return tickets to London courtesy of bmi. As a thank you for taking part, Husniya Magerramova was also awarded some small gifts from the airline.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was when popular singer Sabina Babayeva, who will represent Azerbaijan at Eurovision 2012 contest, performed for the guests while Tural and Husniya battled it out in the kitchen.

The Day of British Cuisine is one of the most high profile events of Diamond Club’s cooking projects since it started in the Spring of 2011.
