The semi-finals and final of the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest under the motto “Light your fire!” will start at 00.00 Baku time. The voting will stay active until 15 minutes before the end of the show. Jon Ola Sand, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest said the contest will start in 21:00 CET.
The scoring will be made up 50-50 from the public telephone vote and the National Jury. The Eurovision 2012 song contest will take place in Baku, on 22, 24 and 26 May.
The participants from 18 countries, including Montenegro, Iceland, Moldova, Cyprus, Romania, Austria, Albania, Denmark, Russia, Belgium, Latvia, San-Marino, Switzerland, Finland, Israel, Greece, Ireland and Hungary will take part in the first semi-final on May 22. The members of 19 countries from Serbia, Sweden, Georgia, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Macedonia, Estonia, Belarus, Turkey, Malta, Slovakia, Croatia, Norway, Ukraine, Armenia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina will join the second semi-final on May 24. Ten contestants from each semi-final will proceed to the grand final on 26 May. Azerbaijan (Ictimai TV); France (France Television); Germany (NDR/ARD); Italy (RAI), Spain (TVE) and the United Kingdom (BBC) are automatically qualified for the final.
