The Hungarian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society published traditional
calendar in Azerbaijani and Hungarian languages for 2012 in honor of the
eminent artist Togrul Narimanbayov.
The artist`s famous paintings were
illustrated in each page of the calendar, his biography and achievements
mentioned on the last page of the calendar. The portrait of the artist,
panorama of Baku, Azerbaijani meals, mugham trio, tales, fruits and
other national attributes were painted in his pictures. The calendars
were distributed among the governmental and non-governmental
organizations, business circles and Azerbaijanis, who live and study in
Hungary.
The Hungarian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society has been functioned since
1994 with support of Azerbaijan State Committee on Work with Diaspora
and 90% of its members are Hungarians. The society aims to raise
awareness of the Hungarian community about Azerbaijan, its history,
ancient traditions, national holidays and achievements.
