Montenegro's representative at the Eurovision 2012 song contest Rambo Amadeus is looking forward to coming to Baku, to feel hospitality of the Azerbaijani people.
"I count on proverbial hospitality of your people," Rambo Amadeus said. He said he is looking forward to coming to Baku to familiarize with local music, dances and cuisine.
This year Azerbaijan will host 57th Eurovision Song Contest. Semifinals will be held on May 22 and 24 and the final - on May 26.
Amadeus is also a big admirer of Aziza Mustafazadeh. "I don't personally know her but I adore her music which is characterized by rare and beautiful combination of melodies. I would like to meet her very much. I think that country where people love Aziza and remember her famous father Vagif Mustafazadeh should have fine public. I have no doubts on it," Amadeus said.
He also expressed his desire to perform live with his band in a small club in Baku.
Amadeus also expressed his satisfaction over the fact that Montenegro selected him as its representative on this prestigious contest and said he will do his best to justify the trust. "The biggest problem would be if I win because I don't think Montenegro can afford organizing the next Eurovision," the singer noted.
As for his upcoming performance in Eurovision Amadeus said he is currently working on it. He didn't exclude even the possibility of wearing some makeup, even to powder his nose.
Rambo Amadeus is the singer's stage name; his real name is Antonije Pušić. He was born in Montenegro, lives in Serbia and is considered one of the most outstanding singers in former Yugoslavia. His songs combine satirical lyrics on the nature of common people and silliness of local politics. He uses a mixture of musical styles including jazz and Rock (converging towards drum and bass lately), and self-conscious ironic wit (for example, one of his aliases is "Rambo Amadeus Svjetski Mega Car" (RASMC) - "Rambo Amadeus the World Mega Emperor") .
