Eurasia Star Song Contest ended

Kyrgyzstan has been crowned the winner of the international song contest “Eurasia Star” in Turkish city Istanbul. Winner Guljigit Kalikov was selected by a combination of jury vote and votes from the public who had the option to vote via SMS.

Guljigit Kalıkov took home a prize of $30,000, while other competitors were presented special diplomas and medals. The final of the competition, featuring performances from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Turkmenistan was broadcasted live in five countries. Young singer Javidan Novruzov represented Azerbaijan in the contest. Kyrgyzstan will host the final of the contest next year.
