Baku determines next finalist of Eurovision 2012

The Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (Ictimai TV) this week continued broadcasting live shows to choose Azerbaijani representative for the next Eurovision. Sabina Babayeva became the seventh finalist of Eurovision 2012 national selection tour following the performances for this week.

The participants of the first week were Erkin Osmanli, AD Gioriam, Aila Idrisova, Kamran Abdullaev, Sabina Babayeva, Khana Hasanova, Khayal Tagiyev, Natig Bagirov and Azer Salimli.

The qualifiers have been divided in 8 groups. Each group has 9 participants who perform their voice and scenic skills within 8 weeks.   Winners of eight weeks chosen by SMS and jury voting will qualify for next round of the selection as semifinalists. Three of them will qualify for the final round and compete to be Azerbaijani representative of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012.
