Baku Crystal Hall: Next step to completion – PHOTOS

The next step was taken in the completion of the Sports and Concert Complex- Baku Crystal Hall, as the installation of its roof was completed. It is planned that just the Baku Crystal Hall will be a venue for unforgettable holiday of music - the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest.

The right half of the roof was installed in late 2011, and the left half on Monday. Each half of the roof weighs approximately 1,200 tons.  Some 500 people involved in the complex construction.  

The German company Alpine BAU Deutschland AG is engaged in the realization of this grandiose project outside the State Flag Square. The complex is designed for 23,000 seats. The arena will be commissioned in April 2012.
