Cost of hiring archive Azerbaijani films maybe reduced

The National Broadcasting Council (NTRC) offers to reduce by 85% the cost of hiring of Azerbaijani films of the State Archive Film Fund. NBC chairman Nushiravan Maharramli said that the Council has appealed to the Culture & Tourism Ministry in this regard.

"We believe that the prices for rent of old movies are not justified. Currently, the cost of hiring of a one-hour Azerbaijani film is 70 manat, and we propose to reduce this cost by 10-20 manat per hour of the movie," he emphasized. He added that those funds might quite well cover costs on keeping the archival films in order.
