
An agreement on mutual assistance between the governments of Azerbaijan and Israel in the field of customs has been signed yesterday. The document was signed by Chairman of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev and Israeli Ambassador Michael Lavon Lotem.
Prior to the signing of the document, Aydin Aliyev had a conversation with the Israeli diplomat.
Aliyev praised the level of Azerbaijan-Israel relationship. He expressed hope that relations between the two countries would continue to develop. Aliyev also hailed the cooperation between customs bodies of the two countries, underlining the importance of exchange of experience.
He expressed confidence that the document would contribute to boosting cooperation between Azerbaijan State Customs Committee and Israeli Customs Directorate. Ambassador Michael Lavon Lotem, in turn, spoke of the customs cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel. He underlined the necessity of expansion of Israeli-Azerbaijan cooperation in all spheres, including customs one. The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
