SOCAR joins World Petroleum Congress and Exhibition

A delegation of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) participated in the 20th World Petroleum Congress and Exhibition held in Qatar`s capital Doha. The congress brought together more than 5 thousand representatives from 65 countries.

According to the press-service of SOCAR, an exhibition reflecting new achievements in oil-gas sphere was organized within the framework of the congress. Exhibits of 400 companies were on display. SOCAR set up a special stand at the exhibition. Visitors familiarized themselves with exhibits reflecting SOCAR`s achievements.

SOCAR delegation provided information on the company`s activity, opportunities, achievements.
The World Petroleum Congress and Exhibition, the world`s largest and most reputable oil and gas industry event, is held once a three year.

The opening ceremony was attended by president of the World Petroleum Council Randy Gossen, Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Thani, Qatar`s Minister of Energy and Industry Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada and other officials.
