The US will support any pipeline that will come through the Southern gas Corridor, U.S. State Department Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Richard Morningstar said at the press-conference in Baku.
However Morningstar said that it will be more preferable to choose for the first time the smaller pipeline which could be further expanded as new gas volumes will be available.
"It is important that Shah-Deniz consortium to choose the smaller pipeline that can be expanded in the future," Morningstar said.
He mentioned that the chosen pipeline should be commercially viable.
