Azerbaijan`s ICT Minister meets British Ambassador

Communications and Information Technologies Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov on Saturday met with newly-appointed ambassador of the United Kingdom Peter Bateman. The Azerbaijani Minister spoke of ICT achievements in the country, informed the Ambassador on Regional Innovation Zones, Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway projects. He also stressed successful implementation of E-government State Program.

Abbasov recalled his meeting with British Telecom Chairman on the sidelines of World Economic Forum in Dalian, China and pointed out cooperation opportunities with this company.

In turn, British Ambassador said there are opportunities for realization of joint projects with British companies, particularly with Vodafone Mobile Operator. Bateman praised British SSTL Company`s participation in tender announced by AzerCosmos and stressed that SSTL would contribute to establishment of space industry in Azerbaijan.
