Price of bread goes down in Azerbaijan

Recently, price of bread has started to cheapen in Baku. One of the biggest participants in bread production of Baku, which plays role of orienting point for other bakeries – Serham LLC (Bakikhanov bread plant) decreased price of bread from 40 kopecks to 35.

The increase of prices was observed at all sale points of the LLC. Director General of the plant Rasim Nabiyev said that cheapening of bread price is related to decreasing of flour’s price. Thus, if formerly, 50 kg sack of flour was sold for AZN 20-20.5, now this price is AZN 17.5-18: “And it will allow us to decrease the prices”.

Besides, not all the bakeries decreased the prices. The observations show that some bakeries in Baku do not change the prices.
