Gas agreement between Turkey and Azerbaijan maybe signed by end of this month

On October 25, groundbreaking ceremony will be held for oil-refining plant, constructed by the investments of SOCAR in Aliaga region of Turkey, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev told journalists.

To him, this plant will be one of the biggest in Turkey, $5.5 bln will be allocated to the project. The plant will strengthen the role of Azerbaijan in energy market of Turkey.

“We will put the plant into exploitation after 4 years. It will be the biggest investment project in energy sphere of Azerbaijan”, he added.

SOCAR President did not except the signing of gas agreement between Turkey and Azerbaijan within framework of the groundbreaking ceremony as well: “Azerbaijani side is preparing for it”.
