KOICA signed a number of agreements with Azerbaijan - PHOTOS

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan, Mr. LEE, Ji Ha and the Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University, Mr Havar Mammadov signed Grant Arrangement for KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) project for ‘The Establishment of Educational Information System of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU)’ on October 12, 2011.
 
The objectives of the project are 1) to improve the efficiency and productivity in administrative works of AzTU through the establishment of Educational Information System., 2) to provide proper distance education service for the students of AzTU via the system, 3) to enhance the capabilities of Azerbaijani engineers and relevant specialists for the sustainable operation and management of the system through sharing necessary technology and knowledge by dispatch of Korean experts and series of training programs.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan, Mr. LEE, Ji Ha and the Minister of Economic Development, Mr. Shahin Mustafayev signed Grant Arrangement for KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) Project for ‘Developing Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and Industrial Parks (IPs) in Azerbaijan’ on October 14, 2011.
 
The objectives of the project are 1) to draw an improved policy and strategy for industrial location and industrial sites development and management conducive to encourage both domestic and foreign investment in Azerbaijan, 2) to revise the law on Special Economic Zones and Industrial Parks and develop further legal and regulatory framework for ensuring the efficiency and consistency of the policy implementation, 3) to build institutional and human capacity to develop industrial location policy and establish new system and institutions of SEZs and IPs development and management.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan, Mr. LEE, Ji Ha and the Chairman of AZERSU OJSC, Mr. Gorkhmaz Huseynov signed Grant Arrangement for KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) Project for ‘A Total Solution for Water Shortage on the Absheron Peninsula in Azerbaijan: Establishment of Water Supply and Sanitation System in Kurdakhani Settlement in the Absheron Peninsula’ on October 14, 2011.
 
The objective of the Project is to upgrade the standard of living of the residents and enhance the environmental conditions by providing water supply and sewerage system in Kurdakhani Settlement, in the Absheron peninsula. The Project will support the Azerbaijani government’s efforts to develop alternative water resources and adapt to climate change.

In addition, the Project aims to strengthen the relationship and cooperation between the two countries through the successful implementation of the Project
