SOCAR installs new platform in Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea

SOCAR has installed a new platform on the Darvin Banka offshore field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR said on Friday.

According to the report, the platform is installed at a depth of 20 meters and is designed for drilling 12 wells.

The new platform is equipped with a dwelling unit, drilling equipment, process installations and other necessary equipment. The platform was built at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Deep Water Jacket Factory.

"In the coming days it is scheduled to begin drilling of the first well from the platform," the company said.
