MasterCard Worldwide to assist Azerbaijan in combating fraud in payment card market

Azerbaijan hosted a workshop on the topic "Fraud in payment card market" held within the Central Bank of Azerbaijan's (CBA) cooperation with international payment system "MasterCard Worldwide" to develop payment card market and bank cards infrastructure, CBA said on Friday.

At the workshop "MasterCard Worldwide" business leader for risk services Cem Kibaroglu held comparative analysis of fraud level in the Azerbaijani payment card market with other countries. The event also discussed such topics as the issue of payment cards and combating fraud in acquiring.

The workshop participants were also provided with extensive information on risk management in electronic commerce. The workshop was attended by representatives of local commercial banks and the Central Bank.
