Ukraine can receive 16-20 mln tons of Azeri oil per year

Ukraine is ready to import 16-20 mln tons of Azeri oil, as well export 13-17 mln tons of this to foreign countries per year, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Sergei Chekh told reporters.

According to him, such volume of the oil was reflected in the contract signed by governments of both countries and to be submitted for ratification of Supreme Rada of Ukraine.

He noted that, 3 mln tons of Azeri oil would be transported via domestic routes of Ukrainian oil processing plants, 5 mln tons in the western direction (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech) other 8-12 mln tons in the direction of Belarus.
