American Chamber of Commerce holds its first “working lunch” in Azerbaijan

The American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AMCHAM) held its first monthly “working lunch”. The event dedicated to 10th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s Tax Code was attended by 110 representatives of private sector and diplomatic corpus.

Nargiz Nasrullayeva-Muduroglu, AMCHAM Azerbaijan Executive Director informed the participants on current activity of the organization, while PR Manager Aysel Suleymanova spoke of new M2M+ Discount Program.

Speaking in the event, deputy tax minister of Azerbaijan Sahib Alakbarov provided information on tax system of the country and history of Tax Code, stressing existence of cooperation between the Ministry and AMCHAM.

AMCHAM president Daniel Mathews thanked to the Ministry`s representatives for participation and handed over a keepsake to Sahib Alakbarov.

Attending the working lunch, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza and his spouse Zeyno Baran briefed the representatives on the project encouraging female entrepreneurship.
