
SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, a subsidiary of SOCAR Energy Georgia (represents interests of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan in Georgia), commissioned two gas stations in Georgia, SOCAR said on Monday.
A gas station was commissioned in the Sadakhli village in the Marneuli district, while the second - in the Gldani residential area in Tbilisi.
Thus, the number of gas stations under SOCAR brand hit 76 units. By late 2011, their number will increase to 100 units.
SOCAR Georgia Petroleum is engaged in sales of the Azerbaijani oil products in Georgia. It started its activity in 2006 and is SOCAR Energy Georgia's 100-percent owned subsidiary.
SOCAR has a number of gas stations in Azerbaijan. Gas stations are also gradually opening under SOCAR brand in Ukraine. SOCAR is currently working to establish a network of gas stations in Romania.
