Azerbaijani operator launches optic network

The Baku Telephone Communications Production Association under the Azerbaijani Communications and the IT Ministry have launched a fiber optic network to render broadband services to end users.

According to the ministry, Optical Network Unit (ONU) launched by the operator in the telecommunication nodes in Kurdakhani, Savalan, Ramani settlements.

ONU subscriber unit will transform optical signals of passive optical network (PON) to the packet data transmission technology Ethernet.
