Azerbaijan to realize several projects for improvement of water management

Under the "Environment for Europe" program, Azerbaijan and 19 other European countries agreed to implement 75 specific projects to improve water management, UN Information Centre reported.

The decision was taken in the seventh Ministerial Conference "Environment for Europe" held last week in Astana. In addition to these projects will also be implemented in Georgia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany and other countries.

These projects are aimed at solving the problems of water and ecosystems, water and health, access to water and sanitation, climate change adaptation and the consequences of natural disasters and transboundary cooperation in water resources management, efficient water use and investment in water management.
