The tax terminals being used in Azerbaijan will be converted into service centers, Tax Minister Elchin Mammadov said at a seminar "Tax system of independent Azerbaijan" on Saturday.
The seminar organized for journalists was held at the Ministry’s Training Centre in the Shamakhi region on Sept.23-24.
"The ministry is expanding the range of services offered by the tax terminals. It is also planned to transform them into a service center that will provide services not only in the tax area, but in all other areas, in the future," Mammadov said.
He said the tax terminals’ services will also cover the reception of e-documents, e-payments, conduct professional training (in accounting, etc.), utility payments and consultations on employment in public bodies.
"Today, 27 tax terminals operate in the country and it is planned to be brought their number up to 55 by 2013. Five of them will operate in Baku, two - Sumgait, two - Ganja and 46 - other regions," he said.
