Azerbaijani taxes ministry to start on-line registration of legal entities in early 2012

On-line registration of legal entities will start in Azerbaijan from the next year, the head of tax declaration reception and processing section of Baku City Tax Department Natig Shirinov told reporters in Shamakhi on Friday.

"Azerbaijan has already introduced on-line registration of individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities, said Shirinov. - The Taxes Ministry is completing preparations for the on-line registration of legal entities, which will become possible after the start of the e-signature in the country."

After introduction of on-line registration of business people in the country, getting personal identification number will be possible via Internet. This will promote the "single window" system and improve investment opportunities in Azerbaijan.

The "single window" system for registration of business was introduced in early 2008, and it is carried out by the Ministry of Taxes.

Since July 1, 2011, the Taxes Ministry of Azerbaijan started online registration of individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities without establishing a legal entity.

According to initial estimates, the introduction of on-line registration of individuals will save about one million manat per year and reduce the registration time from two days to 2-3 minutes, which will increase the efficiency of tax administration.
